Cigarette Making Machine
Mark 8
A cigarette making machine built for sustained production across a range of formats. Operates at up to 3,000 cigarettes per minute with integrated filter assembly and tobacco feed — manufactured in Hyderabad to international standards.
Designed for precision.
Built for production.
The Mark 8 is a cigarette making machine built for sustained production across a range of cigarette formats. Operating at up to 3,000 cigarettes per minute, it is suited to production environments where format flexibility and reliable throughput are both required without the capital commitment of higher-output equipment.
The system comprises two integrated units: the Maker, which forms and cuts the cigarette rod; and the MAX filter assembler, which attaches the filter in-line with rod production. This configuration supports continuous operation with consistent output quality across production shifts.
Format capability spans cigarette circumferences between 17 mm and 28.3 mm, and lengths from 65 mm to 110 mm. Standard formats including King, Demi, Slims, Super Slims and Nano are all within the machine's operating range, making it practical for producers who need to run multiple SKUs from a single production line.
MAX
What the Mark 8 delivers.
01
Multi-format production capability
Handles circumferences from 17 mm to 28.3 mm and lengths from 65 mm to 110 mm. Covers King, Demi, Slim, Super Slim and Nano formats without a machine change.
02
Integrated filter assembly
The MAX unit handles filter attachment in-line with cigarette rod production, eliminating a separate filter attachment stage and maintaining continuous output flow.
03
In-line filter assembly
The MAX unit attaches filters in-line with cigarette rod production, eliminating a separate filter attachment stage and keeping the production flow compact.
04
Proven production rate
Sustained operation at up to 3,000 cigarettes per minute — appropriate for mid-scale environments where reliability per shift matters as much as peak speed.
05
Manageable power and weight
At 17 kW and approximately 5,000 kg, the Mark 8 is practical for installation in established facilities without extensive structural modifications.
06
Full parts support
Spare parts manufactured in-house by Dastagir — no dependency on external suppliers or long lead times for standard components.
Where the Mark 8
fits in production.
The Mark 8 is suited to tobacco manufacturers operating at mid-range production volumes. It performs well in facilities that run multiple formats across a production calendar, or where a secondary line is required to support a higher-output primary system.
Downstream, the Mark 8 is typically paired with a packaging machine such as the HLP 225, which handles the packing stage at up to 225 packs per minute. For operations requiring higher throughput from a single line, Dastagir also offers the Mark 9.5 — capable of up to 5,000 CPM.
